Why establish Fairwind ?
- Renewable energies have a high growth potential after the Kyoto Protocol has been signed and that its directives are being implemented. Activities related to sustainable development are and will stay industrially and economically buoyent. The European political authorities are setting up new focused policies aiming to promote private and semi-industrial equipments.
- The more basic reason why green energies are becoming so attractive are the soaring prices of fossil energy sources. In future, oil prices will no longer be controllable because they are closely linked to significant economic and geopolitical factors. This is also the case for gas and nuclear power.
- Historically, the wind power business has been gained by large industrial and financial companies able to commit huge investments. Wind turbine fields have become profitable on a short term basis, offering substantial margins thanks to the enlargement of the units (from 750 up to 5000 kW in 10 years).
- The wind power industry will now diversify its range of products and start designing smaller units to meet the requirements of private citizens and small companies who are taking interest in the matter, motivated by the constant energy price increase and by the opportunity to free themselves from an unfavourable dependency on fossil energies managed by large traders.
- The future generations to whom we borrow our planet will in turn evaluate the extent of our commitments and assess the actions taken to effectively diversify the sources of energy.
